Excerpts

1.) Ignorance of God's word and will - Isaiah 5:13, Hosea 4:6

4.) Attitude of unforgiveness towards other people (Mark 11:25). Forgiving is not an emotion but a decision of the will. Forgiveness is like tearing up a spiritual IOU. It is self interest to forgive as, we owe God a lot which He will hold onto if we hold onto not forgiving others.

5.) Occult involvement - drugs, souvenirs, fortune-telling, ouija boards, horoscopes, hard rock etc. Exodus 23:24 is a promise only for those who break totally away from the occult in all forms.

6.) Exodus 23:32 - False covenant groups such as freemasonry

7.) Effects of a curse - renounce the cause of the curse and claim the promise.

Indications of a cursed lineage

1.) Mental and emotional breakdown (history in the family)

2.) Repeated and continual sickness

3.) Repeated miscarriages and female problems

4.) Breakdown of marriage and family alienation

5.) Continuing financial insufficiency

6.) Being accident prone

7.) History of suicides and unnatural death

Evil spirits

- Sometimes illnesses are associated with the presence of evil spirits (Luke 4:40-41)

- Evil spirits can be the direct causes of illness. There are spirits of infirmity, pain, crippling, death etc. For a lame person to receive healing the crippling spirit may need to be driven away.

- The spirit of death causes a person to be infirm, weakly and to die untimely. Such a person     has a morbid outlook on life and wears dark clothes. 

- It comes through being discouraged & disheartened. The person then says they wish they       were dead which invites the spirit of death in (Psalm 118:17).

Ways to minister to the sick

- Not all will be instantly healed. Some people's healing will be progressive.

- Keep thanking God until the healing is completed.

- Jesus says they shall recover but he does not say how long.

- Don't confess negatively that you aren't healed just because you don't see immediate               effects.

- Don't focus on human personalities e.g.  “Unless pastor xyz prays for me I don't believe I'll     be healed” focus on the actual healer (that is Jesus).

Activities of demons

1.) Entice people to do evil (usually a verbal whisper)

2.) Harass, program constant problems into your day

3.) Torment (caused by unforgiveness in your heart - leads to arthritis, fear of going insane)

4.) Compel  (compulsive behaviour e.g. over talking, gluttony, drinking)

5.) Enslave through addictions such as masturbation, excessive TV watching.

6.) Defile (make you feel unclean especially when you are about to worship, God spirit of slumber etc)

7.) Deceive (comes in through the doorway of pride)

8.) Weaken, make sick/tired, or kill.

Demonized people are usually restless.

Regarding strongholds; it is best to get equipped so as not to be a casualty.

Black churches are usually the most legalistic in the world because in most of them, the spirit of slavery has not been dealt with through deliverance prayers.

Other common spirits ruling areas worldwide are:

1.) USA - Rebellion & witchcraft

2.) UK - Pride

3.) New Zealand - Apathy

4.) Australia - Rejection (first founding individuals of the country where slaves shipped by sea)

5.) Indian American - Witchcraft

Protect your mind; be an optimist so as not to suffer satanic attacks.

Prayer and the spoken word of God are the only two offensive weapons christians have.

The remaining parts of the armor of God are defensive in nature and must be put on first.

Satan's base is in the second heaven.

Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome were dominant kingdoms with strong ruler spirits
