Many
people leave school looking for jobs.
The
educational system does not equip people to be job creators but equips them to
be job seekers. The question we need to ask is who will provide the job that you
are going to be employed in?
It is
entrepreneurship that creates jobs and the development we want to see. Proverbs
4v7 wisdom is the principal thing. Understanding
is that which is under you as a foundation and enables you to stand.
Understanding
in the amplified version of this verse is defined as discernment, comprehension
and interpretation NLT defines understanding as common sense and good judgment.
Definition
of capital
Capital
is anything required to start or execute a business, project, dream etc
Capital
is not necessarily money as when some people receive gratuity after retirement,
they are confused on what to do with it.
They
don't have ideas which is the capital required in this case. This is because
all through their working years they have spent time working to earn instead of
learn.
When money is your focus you will despise all
the opportunities to learn and just go through the motions of the rat race
earning an income and learning nothing.
You need
to provide value to your employer while learning along the way in preparation
for the future.
10 Classes of capital
1. Human capital - can a dead man start a business? No, so you are more important
than money. You are the first form of capital. Most great nations have limited
natural resources but develop the minds of their people, that is their human
capital.
2. Spiritual capital - The power of prayer,
covenant relationship with God, prayer, fasting, walking in holiness, faith,
divine direction, sensitivity, ability to bind, loose and hear the voice of
God, discernment. In the world we live in today, you can never succeed in
business without spiritual power.
You are either in the secret cult or the
secret place. Everyone out there doing something meaningful has a spiritual
backing of some sort. There are refined occultists who don't necessarily kill
chicken with one baba in the village.
3. Idea capital - There are people who have ideas but no money, some have money but
no ideas, others no money no ideas, the remaining have both money and ideas.
People sell ideas and make millions.
There are 26 levels just for your idea to
become marketable. Idea conceptualization, documentation, protection,
investigation, etc It takes rigorous thinking, rigorous work.
4. Experience capital - Number of years of experience within an area of specialization. A
consultant is someone you pay to think for you about the problem you have that
you refuse to think about how to solve. There are depths of thinking....
The
deeper your thoughts, the better your results. Most people are too shallow in
their thinking and mentally lazy. Just ask yourself how? 7 times, you will dig
deeper. If you can answer how? 7 times, you can use it to develop your mind.
Ask yourself how? Then when you get your first set of answers query them with
another how?
That's how you develop yourself. We spend so much time on shallow
things, our brains are too short to carry great things.
5. Relational capital - Even if you don't have money, have people that can surround and
rally round you. In life there are people that have ability and there are
people that have sympathy. There are people in your life who can sympathize
with your plight but they don't have the ability to help you.
There are people
that have the ability to help you but they don't have sympathy for your plight.
So in life you have to continue to increase the number of people that have
ability to help and others that have sympathy for you because, there are times
when it is sympathy you need. You have to ask yourself, do I have people in my
life where if I need people to gather around me for support/celebration they
will be there? So you keep developing that.
Other times you ask; Do I have
people who if I have serious problem and need assistance or money now they will
be there? Most of what life is about is increasing those 2 sets of people.
There are people that have ability to assist you but don't know you or are not
sympathetic to your cause. You need to think hard on how to get them to know
you and to be sympathetic to your cause. That's what life and relationships is
all about.
Do you know all the people who own the company's stocks you buy? -
No, but they have been able to develop a brand of which you are sympathetic to
its cause.
6. Goodwill capital - A good name is better than silver or gold. There are some
companies that have so much goodwill by virtue of the image they have created
in the heart of people and that good will that they have alone is money.
Some
companies brand image and logo alone is worth much more than the products they
make. You don't know how powerful goodwill is until you lack it. If the
condition for your prosperity is that everyone on the street you live should be
interviewed and 80% of them should say something good about you, how many of
you will prosper? Goodwill is a good name, a good image, what people have to
say about you.
If there is a great opportunity available will people recommend
you? If they have opportunity to kill your chances, will they do so? When all
you think you need is money, you will be blind to every other thing that is
around you.
Have you noticed that when you decide you want something you start
seeing it everywhere? It's always been there but you never noticed it but once
you made up your mind you wanted it, even though you don't have the ability to
get it you started seeing it. That is because it has been brought to the
attention of your conscious mind.
Most people pay attention to their conscious
thoughts but not to their subconscious which is the substructure of their mind
that determines the progress of our lives. When churches say pray in the
spirit, meditate, all they are trying to tell you is to dig deep into the inner
part of you that really matters.
7. Integrity capital - The life you are living now, people are watching you. Integrity
can enable you to buy something without money and pay later because people know
you won't default. As you fail to keep your word more and more, your integrity
is dying.
Lies and deception can ruin your integrity and life. Nobody will kill
you if you change your mind concerning something you agreed to previously as
long as you are honest.
8. Financial capital - This speaks for itself. Simply put.. money.
9. Material capital - These are all the material things you possess that can aid your
business. You don't need to rent a shop, you can start inside your car. You
don't need a wall clock if you own a wristwatch.
In this virtual world do you
want LASTMA LASSRA DIRS (example of Government agencies) to finish your life with charges? Do everything online
where possible. Open an online store.
10. Supernatural capital - This is when favor locates you but it cannot
happen when you're not a sower, a sacrificial giver
